My beloved pussycat Lola has to be put down a couple of weeks ago. Despite likely false negatives on the tests, the vet was convinced it was feline infectious peritinitus (FIP). Great deal of fluid in the belly, rapidly ...lost a great deal of weight, became severely anemic. All within a very short time. We had her for 9 years. She was very much a part of the family. She was the most beautiful cat a person could ever have.

When she died, part of me died, too. I don't know if I'll ever get over that tragic loss.
